SMU is consistently ranked in the Top 100 of national universities in the United States.
TCU is also consistently ranked in the Top 100, and it has been rising in recent years.
UTD is well known for generous scholarships and a strong Computer Science program.
TAMU-Commerce also boasts a top-ranked Education program.
TWU has a highly competitive Nursing program.
UNT is the flagship campus of the University of North Texas system. It ranks highly in Public Affairs, Library and Information Science, and Fine Arts. It has one of the best Jazz Studies programs in the nation.
UTA is the largest public college in North Texas. It has the only accredited Architecture program in North Texas.
Austin College is located in Sherman, Texas, and is ranked in the Top 100 liberal arts colleges in the nation. It actively promotes study abroad programs and has a small teacher-student ratio.
As you can see, there are plenty of options when it comes to attending college in North Texas. Depending on your major and career goals, one college may be a better fit for you than another, and while rankings such as the U.S. News ones are important to gauge the quality of the school, they do not provide the whole picture.
