Hurricane Harvey: College Board Updates August SAT Closures

Just when you think you’re ready to ace your SAT, a hurricane has to come and make things even more difficult! Indeed, Hurricane Harvey, a Category 4 storm, has made landfall today, and in order to avoid any weather-related accidents, most SAT testing sites in Southern and Central Texas have closed.

What does that mean for you?

If you signed up for the August SAT and your testing site closed, College Board has a handy guide that will let you know makeup dates and locations. In most cases, you will take the test at the same site but on a different date. However, there may be some circumstances where another site was available (and, well, you should already be done with the test).

These unforeseen events will hopefully give you an extra cushion to prepare for the test and also a little breather from the start of the school year. And of course, we at B2A hope everyone is safe and sound. Our thoughts are with our friends and family and students and parents and everyone else all over Texas!

We will be back to our normal office hours on Tuesday. We hope to see you then.
