Teaching Experience:
Yenna began tutoring in high school, with a focus on English/Language Arts and Human Geography. At Brown University, she participated in a program called Generation Citizen, where she taught a civic action course to students in an underserved community. She also has five years of experience as a college applications advisor and essay editor. More recently, she has worked as an English tutor to international students and professionals alike.

Counseling Experience:
Throughout her education at Brown University, Yenna worked as a one-on-one College Application Advisor to high school juniors and seniors. This process included reviewing resumes, researching university programs, and editing essays. She specializes in applications for everything from Computer Science, Business, and Engineering programs to the Natural Sciences, and her students have continued on to attend top programs in these majors at schools such as Rice, UT Austin, UC Berkeley, and Purdue..

"An informed applicant is a successful applicant! I spend a significant amount of time with my students researching academic programs, campus cultures, and financial options. With the proper groundwork, students are more likely to build a strong application and find a college that fits their needs."
Interesting Fact:
Yenna spent a semester abroad in Copenhagen studying sustainable development and creative writing.
