Teaching Experience:
In high school, Sophie volunteered as a STEM teaching assistant for underprivileged elementary and middle school students. During her time at UT, Sophie has worked as a supplemental instruction leader, holding weekly sessions to help students succeed in historically challenging courses. Sophie also has experience tutoring high school and college level students in both mathematics and economics.
Educational Philosophy:
"Practice makes perfect. I believe in a hands-on approach where students are involved in their own learning. I want to foster a welcoming environment where students are not afraid to make mistakes on their way towards success."
Interesting Fact:
Sophie enjoys playing musical instruments and ballroom dancing!
