Teaching Experience:

Sophia Franchi received a PhD in English from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in English and French from Wesleyan University. While pursuing a doctoral degree at Hopkins, she taught a wide range of undergraduate English courses, from first-year composition courses to upper-division seminars, worked one-on-one with students as a writing tutor, and consulted with the pre-professional advising office to help students prepare their applications to medical and dental school. She also volunteered as an ESOL instructor at a local nonprofit in the DC area serving immigrants and refugees.

Interesting Fact:

Sophia loves hiking, and aims to visit all 63 national parks.
