Counseling Experience:
Sarah has worked with students on developing stronger writing and research skills at the high school and college level for eight years. As a college research librarian, she guided students through the process of selecting and refining topics and theses for college research papers, and has helped high school and college students edit papers for scholarships, admissions, and college assignments. She has also published her own writing in academic journals.
Counseling Philosophy:
"I help students to craft admissions materials that they feel are authentic to themselves because I believe it’s important for students to have agency in this process. I build up their independence while helping them discover new strengths, interests, and goals they can take into college and beyond.”
Interesting Fact:
After college, Sarah lived in a small town in China for one year.
