College Regular Decision Notification Dates for Class of 2022

You’ve worked tirelessly to improve your resume. You’ve secured your glowing letters of recommendation. You’ve drafted and polished your essays. And of course you’ve hit the submit button again and again and again(!).

Now you have to wait patiently before knowing the answer to the ultimate question: Where will you be going to college this fall?

Tick, tock. Tick, tock.

Waiting is never fun, but knowing when colleges expect to notify Regular Decision students of their admission status can definitely make the wait more bearable.

What does that mean for you? Well, don’t expect to know much of anything about acceptances and rejections until the middle of March, and really, most colleges aim to notify students on April 1 (or close to that date).

Also, most of the Ivy League colleges choose a single date to release their Regular Decision notifications; this year that date is March 28. (There may be slight variations.)

Barnard College - Late March

Baylor University - By April 10

Boston College - By April 1

Boston University - Late March to Early April

Brown University - End of March

Cal Tech - Mid-March

Carnegie Mellon University - No later than April 15

Columbia University - Late March

Cornell University - March 29, 2018

Dartmouth College - Early April

Duke University - April 1, 2018

Emory University - By April 1

George Washington University - Early April

Georgetown University - April 1, 2018

Harvard University - March 28, 2018

Harvey Mudd College - April 1, 2018

Johns Hopkins University - By April 1

New York University - April 1, 2018

Northwestern University - Late March

Notre Dame - Late March

Pomona College - By April 1

Princeton University - March 28, 2018

Rice University - By April 1

Southern Methodist University - March 31, 2018

Stanford University - April 1, 2018

Tufts University - By April 1

UC Berkeley - End of March

UCLA - By April 1

University of Chicago - Late March
