In this time, she helped students get acclimated to college life and provided resources for whatever they needed. Counseling Philosophy:

“I think it is important to remember that everything we need in this world is already inside of us. Sometimes we need some help and guidance to shine the lights on those strong parts. Along with that help and guidance, learning how to find your voice and be your biggest advocate is my sole goal in counseling.”

Teaching Experience:

During her time at UNC and at Columbia, A’Nya assist in essay editing and study groups. She has done individual tutoring with students in high school math, essay editing, and reading/writing skills. Her teaching style gives them empowerment while they navigate their learning style and integrate new information.

Educational Philosophy:

“Everything we know in this world has been taught to us by somebody. I hope to give my students not only educational skills, but life skills that they can take with them throughout their life. Learning and growing is an amazing human quality and I want my students to find the joy in that.”

Interesting Fact:
