Counseling Philosophy:

"My goal for my students is to create a college application that is not only comprehensive and powerful, but also a complete, three-dimensional story. Application season can be difficult and overwhelming for students. However, as a counselor and a mentor, I hope to make the process as stress-free as possible by breaking apart the process step-by-step-- crafting an application that highlights strengths, illustrates passions, and portrays each student's one-of-a-kind, personal journey."

Teaching Experience:

Nadia currently serves as the team leader for the Differential Calculus PLTL (Peer Led Team Learning) program at the University of Texas at Dallas, overseeing a team of over 10 Differential Calculus tutors who conduct tutoring sessions for over 150 university students enrolled in the course. She additionally has served as a teaching assistant for Introductory Biology Laboratory, a sophomore level course at the University of Texas at Dallas through which students perform biology experiments that implement microbial techniques, eukaryotic cell divisions, and the extraction of mtDNA. She additionally serves as the head coordinator for Project Smile, an after-school volunteer educational program that benefits local Richardson ISD elementary students by educating them on the benefits of oral hygiene through a series of songs and games.

Teaching Philosophy:

“I believe the greatest teachers are those who also function as students- always holding a hunger for more knowledge, a passion for problem solving, and a love for the course they are teaching. My goal as a teacher is to not provide a challenging and collaborative atmosphere, but to also ensure that students leave the classroom with a better understanding of the world around them and the desire to learn more."

Interesting Fact:

Nadia is not only lover of learning in a classroom setting, but also a lover of learning through traveling and experiencing new cultures. She has traveled to 15 countries around the world, including Ireland, Jamaica, and the Czech Republic! Her favorite cities that she has traveled to are Istanbul, Turkey, and Budapest, Hungary.
