Justin Zhang
Math/Science Instructor

Education:
University of Texas at Austin (B.S.A Mathematics)
Teaching Experience:
From leading SAT practices in high school to creating and participating in a collaborative program for classmates to teach their peers in subjects ranging from Algebra II to Multivariable Calculus, Justin has a passion for seeing others develop their skills and gain a deeper understanding of the world. He has also worked multiple summers at the Honors Summer Math Program at Texas State, where he led daily problem sessions and extensive four person study groups in advanced math topics like Number Theory and Abstract Algebra.
Educational Philosophy:
"The most frustrating experience a student can have is having an instructor that isn't fully engaged in what they are teaching. I rely on the back and forth between student and teacher to take a measured approach in pushing the student's boundaries and set up the fundamentals they need to have continued success, regardless the level they are at."
Interesting Fact:
Justin loves the opportunities for outdoor recreation around Austin. Find him at kayaking on the lake, hiking the green belt, or at Zilker park with his dog, Ollie. Justin is a graduate from LASA!
