Teaching Experience:

Akshay has gained experience teaching numerous subjects and age levels during his time in college, from serving as a peer instructor for Statistics students in the McCombs School of Business, to tutoring underrepresented students in Eastside Memorial High School and Austin Achieve. Upon graduating from UT, Akshay will serve as a high school math teacher in the Rio Grande Valley through the Teach for America program.

“I have always believed that learning comes best when it is paired with curiosity. Regardless of whether a student has a natural interest in the subject being taught, I strive to create an open, communicative learning environment where both me and the student can gain a real-world appreciation for the material.”

Akshay sings baritone for Hum Acapella, a south-asian fusion acapella group at University of Texas at Austin.
