OUR STORY
Berkeley² Academy was founded in 2009 by Emily Hong, M.A., and James Seo, B.S., Texas natives and graduates of University of California at Berkeley. With the passion for guiding students to their dream college and helping their parents navigate through college admissions, Emily and James wanted to create a one-stop-shop for everything students would need to strategically situate themselves for the competitive college admissions ahead. So they gathered the best talents to create a team of experts who are top academic scholars themselves. These instructors and counselors, coupled with our thoughtfully designed curriculum and the Relationship-Based Coaching(R) method developed by Emily herself, created synergetic learning effect that translated to motivated students producing amazing outcomes. Today, Berkeley² Academy is revered as a premiere college prep academy with unparalleled track record, that is loved by students and trusted by parents.
