Jay Yoon
Math/Science Instructor

Education:

University of Texas at Austin (B.S. Chemical Engineering: Process Systems/Production and Energy Technology)

Teaching Experience:

I have taught math to kids from ages 5-15 at Kumon, and taught SAT math to elementary, middle, and high school classes with 6-15 students in each class. During my senior year in high school, I volunteered to teach math and science to struggling students that are only a few years younger than me. These experiences made me good at working with kids of different ages and delivering my lessons. In each setting, I have covered most math subjects and gained experience in teaching the new SAT.

Educational Philosophy:

"I believe a teacher should be interested and passionate in subjects that he teaches, in order for a student to feel the same. My goal as a teacher is for students to build good relationships with math and science."

Interesting Fact:

I have played guitar in praise teams throughout my high school year and some time in college. In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar, watching movies, and playing online games.
